We open the first Composition Scholarships for young talent with the Federation of Musical Youth of Catalonia
The Ferrer Music Foundation, in collaboration with the Federation of Musical Youth of Catalonia, is opening a call for four composition grants of €25,000 each to support emerging talent and promote contemporary musical creation.
The call will be open from September 30 to November 30, 2025 and is aimed at candidates of Spanish nationality or legal residents in Spain, born after 1990, who can prove training or experience in composition. Registrations will be formalized through the website of the Federation of Musical Youth of Catalonia.
The four selected will have to create two unpublished works (a chamber piece and a symphonic work) that will be premiered within the program of the Music Network of Musical Youth of Catalonia. The jury —made up of representatives of the Ferrer Foundation for Music and Musical Youth, as well as renowned creators— will announce the verdict on December 15, 2025.
With this initiative, the Ferrer Music Foundation reaffirms its commitment to innovation, culture and support for new generations of creators.
