Comics and graphic narrative have achieved great visibility and recognition, both in the cultural sphere and in the academic world. In this context of growth and innovation, the\u00a0<strong data-start=\"505\" data-end=\"578\">Chair of Research and Experimentation in Comics FINESTRES-ELISAVA (CREC)<\/strong>, a joint initiative of the Finestres Foundation and ELISAVA (UVic-UCC).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"660\" data-end=\"865\">The CREC Chair&#039;s main objective is to promote research, training and innovation in the field of comics, placing special emphasis on its potential as a narrative language and knowledge tool.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"867\" data-end=\"888\"><strong>Lines of action:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"890\" data-end=\"986\">The Chair develops several lines of action to promote research and creativity:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"988\" data-end=\"1829\">\n<li data-start=\"988\" data-end=\"1233\">\n<p data-start=\"990\" data-end=\"1233\"><strong data-start=\"990\" data-end=\"1034\">Production of thought and theoretical research<\/strong><br data-start=\"1034\" data-end=\"1037\" \/>A call is open to incorporate a doctoral researcher interested in delving deeper into the graphic essay from an academic perspective.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1235\" data-end=\"1460\">\n<p data-start=\"1237\" data-end=\"1460\"><strong data-start=\"1237\" data-end=\"1293\">Research and digitization of Catalan graphic heritage<\/strong><br data-start=\"1293\" data-end=\"1296\" \/>Grant intended to develop a research project on comics and graphic humor in Catalonia, with actions for digitization and open dissemination of the studied collection.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1462\" data-end=\"1664\">\n<p data-start=\"1464\" data-end=\"1664\"><strong data-start=\"1464\" data-end=\"1505\">Experimental comics: research and creation<\/strong><br data-start=\"1505\" data-end=\"1508\" \/>Residency to explore hybridizations between comics and other creative disciplines, such as performing arts, music, exhibitions or science.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1666\" data-end=\"1829\">\n<p data-start=\"1668\" data-end=\"1829\"><strong data-start=\"1668\" data-end=\"1722\">Collaborations with cultural projects and companies<\/strong><br data-start=\"1722\" data-end=\"1725\" \/>The Chair also establishes links with various entities to promote comics in different contexts.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1831\" data-end=\"2014\">The Chair is directed by Dr. Mery Cuesta Reigada, who promotes this space open to research, creativity and critical thinking.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2016\" data-end=\"2211\">If you are interested in exploring comics as a language and tool of knowledge, the CREC Chair offers you the opportunity to actively participate in this new stage of promotion and recognition of comics.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2016\" data-end=\"2211\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fundaciofinestres.com\/impuls-al-comic\/catedra-elisava\/\">More information here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vivim un moment d\u2019efervesc\u00e8ncia dels llenguatges gr\u00e0fics narratius.
